Brief profile
Ryunosuke Kikuchi was given an opportunity to study at Sofia Technical University in Bulgaria, and he was awarded a PhD (study of pollutant recycling) from the Bulgarian Ministerial Council. He was a project coordinator at the Ministry of Environment in Bulgaria and a researcher of Environmental Protection at the University of Helsinki in Finland. He was appointed associate professor at Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal) in 1999. Since his appointment, he has been a member of CERNAS Research Center in Coimbra. He has been appointed as a full professor of Environmental Science & Technology at Ryukoku University since 2010. He has received numerous honors (e.g. European Environmental Press Award) in Europe and Latin America. His research focuses on the multiple approach to environmental problems and protection.
